Join us in RBS International as a Data Management Officer
In this role, you’ll be responsible for making sure client queries are responded to promptly, and that UK and EU regulatory guidance is provided
You’ll maintain accurate scheme and security data used to provide a full compliance and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) monitoring oversight programme for all clients in accordance with investment and borrowing restrictions imposed by the FCA
In this role you'll use data-led insights to support compliance monitoring and data management governance standards across our Depositary and Funds business
What you'll do
As a Data Management Officer, you’ll provide a high quality service within the Data Management area, primarily responsible for monitoring scheme assets to ensure compliance with relevant FCA Collective Investment Scheme regulations, ESG specific criteria and any other restrictions stipulated within scheme documentation.
We’ll look to you to undertake extensive research of underlying security holdings and collate information from varying data sources, as well as interpreting and writing compliance rules within the compliance systems
You’ll also be:
Making sure scheme holdings are eligible in accordance with FCA rules and Eligible Assets Directives
Keeping fully updated on FCA regulatory changes and any potential impacts
Conducting daily and periodic reviews of static data in relation to scheme information and security data
Responding promptly to client queries and providing regulatory guidance when needed
Researching the suitability of potential eligible assets in accordance with rules and providing full regulatory reports to clients
The skills you'll need
We’ll look to you to have a sound technical understanding of security products and markets, as well as knowledge of the UK and EU regulatory framework in relation to collective investment schemes.
Additionally, you’ll need:
The ability to fully participate as part of an effective team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and experience of compliance monitoring systems
The ability to interpret and write compliance rules
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
The ability to understand complex trading strategies and the use of different instruments, and provide input on their classification and appropriateness within regulations
