My client is a leading specialist manufacturer supplying components, services and systems. With almost 100 years experience they are part of a global business that supplies into multiple sectors both in the UK and internationally.
They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Operative to ensure products leave the factory on time and compliant to the relevant safety standards.
The Role:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager the Production Operative your responsibilities will include assembly, diss-assembly and decommissioning and compliance with Quality standards such as ISO 9001.
The role will also include:
- Receiving goods from suppliers
- Dispatching goods and tracking shipments
- Maintaining stock accuracy
- Getting involved in the auditing process
- Recording weight, pressure & serial numbers
- Using SAP
- Picking customer orders ready for dispatch
- Operating forklift truck
- Completing specialist notes for shipments
- Managing Customer returns
- Filing of all warehouse documentation received
The Candidate
The ideal Production Operative will already have Warehouse & Production experience gained within a Manufacturing environment. Following work instructions to strict Quality Management System guidelines is crucial.
A knowledge of SAP / ERP or other warehouse management systems is required. However, some experience in either Mechanical or electrical engineering and being a FLTD license holder is advantageous.
