Pay: 21.50 per hour (Umbrella) Job Purpose The Resident Empowerment and Engagement Officer plays a crucial role in providing an efficient, customer-focused housing service within the area. Their responsibilities include: 1. Profile Enhancement: Elevating HA’s (formerly NLMHA) profile among tenants, local authorities, and the community. 2. Policy Implementation: Overseeing and implementing HA’s Resident Involvement & Participation policy. 3. Adherence and Development: Ensuring adherence to association policies, procedures, and standards while driving appropriate development. Resident Empowerment and Engagement In this capacity, the officer will: 1. Participation and Consultation: Develop and implement resident participation and consultation activities, collaborating with HA staff, community groups, and other relevant stakeholders. 2. Contract Management: Identify and manage external service providers related to resident engagement and involvement. 3. Budget Oversight: Responsible for the budget associated with resident engagement programs. 4. Effective Communication: Coordinate advice and assistance to various tenant groups, ensuring effective communication channels. 5. Research and Strategy: Design and execute consultation practices, research tenant views, and recommend service improvements. 6. Multilingual Materials: Ensure tenant participation materials are culturally sensitive and available in different languages. 7. Community Engagement: Collaborate with existing services, engage in networking, and contribute to youth and health programs. Managing Resources 1. Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness: Leverage information technology systems efficiently and seek cost-saving efficiencies. 2. Budget Management: Responsible for managing the budget allocated to tenant engagement and involvement programs. Organization Communication and Planning 1. Proactive Approach: Assess situations, make decisions, and conclude inquiries proactively. 2. Positive Interaction: Maintain a positive and helpful approach in all interactions. 3. Performance Standards: Meet all service and performance standards. 4. Effective Relationships: Foster strong working relationships with tenants, partners, and colleagues. 5. Personal Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for personal growth. 6. Overall Contribution: Contribute effectively to HA’s objectives.
