Data Protection Officer

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of data protection efforts, responsible for the ongoing development and monitoring of key policies. You'll serve as the main point of contact for supervisory authorities and collaborate closely with Operations and Information Security teams to oversee daily data requests. Additionally, you'll partner with Legal and Vendor teams to ensure robust data processing controls are integrated into their vendor agreements and operations. If you're eager to make a significant impact and thrive in an innovative environment, we'd love to hear from you!What are we looking for…Proven experience in GDPR assessments, policy drafting and implementation, data mapping, and creating Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).Skilled in fostering a data protection culture and handling Subject Access Requests (SARs) along with general data protection operations.Data protection and privacy experience in a dynamic, professional setting.Holds privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, ISEB, or similar.Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK Data Protection Law, and a good grasp of international data protection laws.Understanding of intra-group data protection regulations is a plus.Get in touch with Joely Callaghan, directly at Synchro to find out more!Role: Data Protection OfficerLocation: London – Hybrid working approach – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote Salary: £80,000 - £120,000 + a superb benefits package, including stock options
