About The RoleCost Consultant / Cost AssuranceAssistant to Senior levelLondon / UK Wide (Mixture of local office, home and client sites)Full time / part time - with flexible working and core hoursPermanentAbout these opportunities:The Infrastructure team at Gleeds are seeking a number of Cost Consultants / Cost Assurance professionals of various levels of experience to work on a wide range of significant assignments in a range of industry sectors in the UK and around the world.  We are working on some of the most significant and exciting infrastructure projects and are looking for additional team members to work with us on these projects and to help in the development of the Cost Assurance function.   Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide commercial and financial assurance and verification of costs on a range of projects in different sectorsAnalysis and assessment of contractor’s accounting and commercial systems and processesPrepare risk-based audit and verification plansDetailed audit and analysis of a range of cost typesPrepare high quality and robust outputs and working papersUnderstanding and interpretation of different types of contractual frameworksEngagement with contractors, clients, regulatory bodies and other relevant stakeholdersPreparation of clear and concise reportsDevelopment of forensic technology and analysis toolsSupport the Head of Cost Assurance and other senior staff within GleedsWhat we can offer you in return:Clear opportunities to develop and grow your career through training and further qualifications Fantastic networking opportunities to grow your personal brand and expand your understanding of the industry Generous holiday allowance plus the option to purchase additional days through the holiday purchase scheme.Highly competitive salary and the opportunity to increase this through continuous reviewsEmployee Assistance Programme to ensure your health and personal well-being comes firstOur global travel scholarship programme gives you the unique opportunity to gain global experienceFlexible working arrangements to ensure you have a healthy work-life balance Volunteering opportunities to engage with your local community or charitable organisationsUnparalleled support from central teams and a company that is recognised as a Great Place to WorkAbout YouWho we’re looking for: Preferred experience of NEC3/4 contractsExperience of working with corporate risk and audit functionsExperience of cost verification, internal/external audit, financial reviews on significant infrastructure and construction projectsClear and effective communication skills - both oral and writtenMethodical way of thinking and approach to workGood organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skillsSound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience in data analysis tools such as Power BIExperience of contract management and administration systemsAbility to absorb complex information and assess requirements readilyAbility to work as part of a team, and/or to lead a team, depending on levelQualifications:MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), or working towards,Accounting/Auditing experience (AAT, ACA, CIMA etc), orAbout UsAbout usA world of opportunityGleeds is a place to be part of something bigger.
