Job Role: Quality Assurance Technician - NIGHT SHIFT
Salary: £13.33ph (£14.33ph between 10pm – 4am)
Location: Leicestershire
Type: Full Time / Permanent/Night Shift
Hours / Shift Pattern:
5 out of 7 days per week, 12 Hour Shifts (6pm-6am)
45 hours per week
4 on, 4 off rota basis (after probation)

Overview
Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a skilled and reliable Quality Assurance Technician on behalf of a leading food manufacturing business. Our client, whose products are widely available in major retailers, are seeking a dedicated professional to ensure that their processes and products consistently meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Management: Ensure production paperwork is accurate, up-to-date, and ready for audits.
- Compliance Auditing: Conduct regular checks on equipment and processes to ensure legal compliance and assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Hygiene Monitoring: Oversee facility cleanliness and report any issues according to established procedures.
- Sampling & Swabbing: Participate in testing processes, identify any issues, and help implement corrective actions.
- Quality Control: Support the management of critical control points and weight compliance, providing training as needed.
- Production Quality Evaluation: Assist in monitoring product quality, reporting on any discrepancies, and participating in relevant meetings.
- Non-Conformance Management: Track and address any quality issues, ensuring that they are resolved promptly.
- Product Development Support: Assist in ensuring that new products meet quality and safety standards.
- Allergen Control: Help maintain allergen safety measures and conduct necessary audits.
- General Support: Carry out additional tasks as required to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a Quality Assurance role.
- Level 3 Food Safety certification.
- Level 2 HACCP certification.
- Knowledge of labeling and packaging legalities.
- Basic understanding of environmental and product microbiology.
- COSHH Training.
- Train the Trainer or similar certification.
- Understanding of 852/2004 Hygiene of Foodstuffs regulations.
- Knowledge of the Food Safety Act 1990.
