Head of Architecture & IT
London (2 days per week, ideally Tues & Thurs)

Reporting to the CISO of this global business you will be accountable for overseeing the delivery, maintenance and continual improvement of IT strategy, services, and operations to internal and external stakeholders of the Global Executive Office.
This role involves working with internal and external service providers and managing a small team of IT professionals including a Senior Solutions Architect and an IT Services Manager.
We are looking for someone with an Architectural mindset who is at an expert level with the MS Tech stack as you will have to set up federated models in teams for 100+ member firms.
You will work with limited resources so someone who can come up with creative solutions to problems is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End IT Services Oversight: Ensure delivery and management of IT services, infrastructure, and applications align with business needs.
- Azure Cloud Management: Manage secure and efficient delivery of Azure cloud services and global applications.
- Technology Change Projects: Oversee operational delivery of technology projects throughout the lifecycle.
- IT Infrastructure Design: Manage design, maintenance, and scalability of IT infrastructure supporting internal and member firms.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and implement IT risk mitigations, including business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Technology Strategy Development: Lead development and integration of technology strategy with enterprise plans.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and report on KPIs related to IT service delivery.
- Incident Management: Oversee incident and problem resolution processes for timely resolution and prevention.
- Skills Forecasting: Collaborate with the CISO on future technology skills required for service delivery.
Skills, Knowledge, & Experience:
- Leadership & Project Management: Proven experience leading IT teams, large projects, and global IT solutions.
- IT Service Management: In-depth knowledge of IT service management best practices and network architecture.
- Microsoft Technologies Expertise: Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies and cloud computing.
- Financial Acumen: Budget management experience and financial understanding.
- Agile & Waterfall Methodologies: Proficient in project management methodologies.
- Stakeholder Management: Experience in influencing stakeholders in complex federated environments.
- Vendor Management: Strong vendor and partner relation skills to enhance business capabilities.
- Performance Metrics: Demonstrated success in managing performance to achieve key metrics.
