As the company continue to grow rapidly, predicting to expand from ca £5 million turnover to ca £12 million in the next year, they are focusing on building their commercial and finance departments. They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Finance Assistant with experience in the construction industry to join their finance team based in Uxbridge. The successful candidate will support their finance department with day-to-day financial operations, providing vital assistance to ensure smooth and efficient financial management within the company. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a strong foundation in finance, looking to build a career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: * Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices, purchase orders, and payment transactions. * Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all documentation is properly filed and organised. * Support the finance team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. * Assist with budget preparation and monitoring, ensuring all expenditures align with the allocated budgets. * Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information. * Liaise with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting. * Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations. * Contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts and projections. * Participate in audits, providing necessary documentation and support to external auditors. Requirements: * A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. * Experience working within the construction industry. * Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis. * Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. * Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. * Eagerness to learn and develop within the finance function.
