Senior Regulatory Lawyer

Our client, a well-known household brand is seeking a Senior Regulatory Lawyer on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Regulatory Lawyer to join an in-house legal team where your role will be pivotal in leading the company’s compliance function, alongside driving their organisational performance. The role:- You will act as the SME on day-to-day health & safety, food safety, and general regulatory and compliance matters. - You will undertake audits on the company processes, practices, and internal guidelines to identify any risk/threat areas. - You will lead on regulation updates and legislative changes and will work with the company to ensure compliance. - You will ensure compliance across operations, supply chains, and stores. - You will lead on key projects within the company with a focus on risk and compliance. The candidate:- Qualified Lawyer- UK or commonwealth experience- Previous experience in regulatory/compliance/health and safety. It is essential you have experience working with the regulator. - In house experience advantageous.- Strong report writing skills to produce reports/user guidance notes etc.- Must have gravitas and be able to push back on the regulator. You will lead on robust conversations so will need to be confident in how you manage those conversations. Our client operates a hybrid working policy. You will need to be able to attend the office 3 days per week with 2 days working from home.We are only able to consider candidates with specific wider health & safety in the workplace experience, risk and compliance expertise.
