About the Role:

As the Assets, Repairs, and Compliance Manager, you will take the lead in managing the Property and Asset Team, including Compliance, Planned Works, Responsive Repairs, and Housing Repairs Team. You will be responsible for delivering a high-performance service that meets standards and regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing policies, processes, and practices that support the ongoing maintenance, improvement, and adaptation of the Council's housing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Management: Oversee an integrated asset management strategy, ensuring efficient and effective repairs, maintenance, and compliance services.
  • Team Leadership: Line managing 6 direct Managers with a further 20 staff across Surveying, contract management, scheduling and operations.
  • Compliance and Safety: Manage compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including gas, electrical safety, fire safety, asbestos and Water.

What You'll Bring:

  • Extensive experience in property and asset management, within a local authority or social housing provider.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
  • Be able to manage multiple budgets across Compliance, Planned works, voids and Repairs
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation, compliance, and health and safety standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a commitment to delivering customer-focused services.
