Here's what you'll be doing npower Business Solutions (nBS) is the E.ON UK Industrial and Commercial (I&C) pillar and a market leader in the B2B energy retail sector.  I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c20,000 customers and approximately 200,000 meter points. We have an exciting opportunity for an Environment and Release Manager to join our team. For this role you will be responsible for the management of release and deployment of software applications including managing the environments in which applications are deployed. You will plan and coordinate release plans and relevant documentation, coordinating with development teams, and ensuring that releases are delivered on time to agreed governance standards. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) approximately 2-3 days per week. Key responsibilities Driving I&C changes through implementation, delivering high quality standards within the agreement governance framework. Managing risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies escalating appropriately to minimise the impact to I&C. Responsible for the set-up, management and delivery of the implantation plan and for overseeing activities on a day-to-day basis. Own and manage all relevant stakeholders of the delivery portfolio and for test environment usage and keep them informed and engaged. Engage with I&C and/or other business users and delivery teams to influence stakeholder buy in. Provide expert guidance to the project teams to support the improved delivery of change. Oversee the necessary activities for third party providers and necessary approvals and governance. What we need from you The ability to assimilate information, understand, navigate and assess complex data, systems and processes. Experience of driving performance through leadership, empowerment and personal development in a complex and challenging environment. The ability to influence key stakeholders at discretionary levels, generating an understanding of complex issues, providing clarity and certainty in a complex and challenging environment. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of release planning and management, strategic change planning and monitoring across multiple delivery methodologies, including experience in utilising DevOps practices. The ability to provide clear direction to test leads and project colleagues that reflects the strategic aims of the programme or project. Extensive experience in test management.
