2nd Line Support Technician Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday (between 8 am to 6 pm), with occasional out-of-hours support (overtime paid). The Role: As a 2nd Line Support Technician, you'll provide critical IT support to our clients, ensuring their systems run smoothly and efficiently. This desk-based role includes remote support and occasional client visits, making it ideal for an ambitious IT professional ready to advance their career. Key Responsibilities: Provide second-line technical support for hardware and software issues. Resolve complex IT incidents in collaboration with first-line support and vendors. Install, configure, and maintain IT systems for security and stability. Troubleshoot network issues and manage connectivity problems. Implement proactive service initiatives with the Head of Technology. Document IT procedures and troubleshooting steps. Assist with user training and stay current with industry trends.What You Bring: Experience: Proven experience as a 2nd Line IT Support Technician or a high-performing 1st Line role. Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting cloud, hardware, software, and network issues, with strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, and VoIP systems. Qualifications: GCSE Maths and English Language Grade 5 or above (or equivalent) and relevant industry certifications (CompTIA A+ and Microsoft Certified Professional preferred).What’s in It for You?
