About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and drive category development with key retail partners. Working for a leading international business that plays a major role within the snacking & confectionary category. The company has seen significant growth with strong sales across all channels, successful product launches, and a strategic plan for further expansion.
This is a customer-facing category management role with responsibility for building strong relationships with key grocery retail customers, while providing the sales and marketing teams with regular insights into market opportunities. You'll be instrumental in influencing key grocery retail customers, delivering data-driven strategies, and contributing to the continued success of both the category and the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key grocery retail partners.
- Leveraging insights to influence merchandising strategies and range plans at category reviews.
- Provide in-depth analysis and insights to identify category growth opportunities.
- Providing analytical support the development of category plans.
- Collaborating with internal teams to achieve company objectives and overall drive brand growth.
The ideal category manager will have experience in a similar level Category Management role and a strong understanding of the UK retail grocery scene. You should be comfortable building relationships and working closely with customers, with a passion for figuring out what drives category performance. Experience creating and delivering successful Category Growth Plans is key, along with familiarity using tools like JDA, Nielsen & Kantar Data to make smart, data-driven decisions.
