Production Supervisor Chester Le Street Salary £39,000 inclusive of Shift Allowance Continental shift pattern A manufacturing company are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing business and drive their team to the next level. This role would suit someone from FMCG, Automotive or Chemical manufacturing background. Role and Responsibilities * Supervising a team of Production Operators ensuring that they are working efficiently, safely and in line with necessary targets. * Health and safety of staff including risk assessments and accident investigations. * Quality performance working towards zero defect target by proactive quality measures and root cause analysis. * Management of staff and personal issues including disciplines, grievances, sickness absence, appraisals, and maintenance of holiday systems. * Production performance optimising output by efficiency improvement activities and staff performance management Knowledge and Experience * Excellent communication skills written and verbal * Proven team leadership or management experience ideally within an automated setting * Must be a natural leader * Knowledge and experience in OEE and implementing continuous improvement ideas * Good organisational skills * The ability to manage busy workload and meet deadlines * Able to multitask * Experience of Continuous Improvement If you are interested in this role or would like to know more, please send your up-to-date CV via the apply button
