Client focus - Deliver on our promise: You will support cost planning including ownership of and presenting cost plans to clients and internal stakeholders. You will support the procurement process, ensuring stages including prequalification, enquiry, analysis, selection and contract preparation are performed effectively. You will support the delivery of cost management services to deliver key strategic outcomes and KPIs, directly influencing strategic development of plans.Conducting feasibility studies, advising on procurement strategies and contract selection, writing and undertaking procurement reports.Applying the value management techniques at the outset of a project.Managing, estimating and cost planning activities to include taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.Being a key interface with client, stakeholders and other consultants at all project stages.Handling of contractual frameworks and standard form of contract.Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, products and hence improve the services provided to the clients.Identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.Integrity - Always do the right thing: You will support management operations that are fiscally and ethically viable, influencing the achievement of business objectives that align with business and legislative compliance obligations. You will guide assistant cost consultants and other junior team members to identify and execute opportunities that improve cost management procedures, templates and products to enhance services provided to stakeholders. You’ll need to have: Previous experience in a cost consultancy practice in a similar role.Previous experience working within automotive / advanced manufacturing & technology sectorsJCT form of contract experience essential with some knowledge of NEC.Cost planning, budgeting and estimating experience.A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent.Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.
