Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) Function: Supply Chain Location: Lisburn Contract: Permanent ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB We have roles available both on rotating shift patterns (involving days & nights) and day shift only. You will be a key member of the Engineering team, where your actions will directly impact our overall site performance. You will carry out maintenance tasks as required, including both attending to breakdowns and routine preventative maintenance programmes in order to minimise machinery down time. YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Solve reasons for breakdown and undertaking corrective and preventative actions to resolve. Repairs and maintenance of PLC controlled machinery. The recording and reporting of maintenance activities. Conduct equipment inspections and determine appropriate job work scopes and standards. Create and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays. Provide technical assistance as required to improve the reliability and performance of the plant's machinery. Comply with company policies and procedures, inc. Health & Safety Standards. Utilise Computer based maintenance management system to support the maintenance function. ARE THESE YOUR SECRET INGREDIENTS? Essential Criteria Minimum 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent. NVQ Level 3 Mechanical / engineering qualification or equivalent. Must be a Time/Skill-Served. Mechanically, electrically advantageous, with Industrial Experience. Fault finding experience on automated machinery. Minimum 3 years FMCG experience. Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, mechanical drawings, catalogues, reports, and manuals. Experience of both the installation of new equipment and overhaul of existing equipment. A sound knowledge of control systems, conveyors, mechanical drives, pneumatic and hydraulic systems is essential. Experience of Tig welding, turning, milling and fabrication. Desired Criteria Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment in the maintenance of a modern bottling plant. Computer literacy. Experience of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. 5 years experience in a similar role. Skills: Mechanical Engineer Maintenance Technician
