ROLE- Furniture DesignerLOCATION- Salisbury TERM- PermanentSALARY- £28,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience My client is a specialist product designer and manufacturer. They are looking for a Furniture Designer to join their team in Salisbury on a permanent basis.The Furniture Designer will ideally have the following attributes:At least 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role Interested in developing a career in Furniture / Product Design Degree qualified in Product Design, Industrial Design or similarPrevious work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment would be beneficialBe proficient using 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite etc.Experienced working with metal, wood and extruded materials Hands-on technical experience through your course Able to work to specific requirements and deadlinesExcellent attention to detailOrganised with excellent communication and teamwork skills The Furniture Designer role will involve:Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsProducing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirementsCommunicating directly with clients to determine requirements Liaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
