Key Responsibilities: Lead the daily operations of the science preparation rooms, ensuring all equipment, chemicals, and materials are available for practical lessons. Provide technical support to science teachers, including setting up and clearing away equipment for practical experiments. Ensure the safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and equipment in line with health and safety regulations. Manage the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment. Supervise and support junior science technicians, providing guidance and training where necessary. Assist in the development and preparation of teaching resources and practical activities.Requirements: At least 2 years of experience as a science technician in a school environment. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to a science department. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritise tasks effectively. Relevant qualifications in science or technical fields. Experience with stock control, chemical management, and laboratory safety procedures.
