Telecom Security Engineer

We are seeking a Telecom Security Engineer for a 12 months project in Glasgow.

• A highly skilled Commissioning Engineer with background in telecom and/or physical security systems.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of complex telecommunications and security infrastructures.
• Adept at ensuring systems meet rigorous safety and performance standards while adhering to project timelines and specifications.
• Flexibility to works on shift based on the project specific activity and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning, managing, and executing the commissioning of telecom and security systems: CCTV, Access Control, Perimetral Intrusion Detection
• Passengers Information Display, Clock, Audio Recording, Passengers Help Point.
• Performing rigorous tests and inspections to validate system functionality against design specifications.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment and system malfunctions during the commissioning phase.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures required by the end client.
• Telecom Providing comprehensive training and support to maintenance and operational teams on newly commissioned systems.
• Preparing and maintaining detailed project documentation, including test data and system configurations.
• Core Competencies:
• Strong technical understanding of telecom and security systems.
• Proficient in configuring and calibrating instrumentation to match precise specifications.
• Effective communication and collaboration with project managers and Design Engineering Team in back office.
• Professional Experience:
• Successfully commissioned for a high-profile project.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams to streamline commissioning processes.
• Certifications and Education:
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering Discipline.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License (it’s a plus).
• Commissioning Certification from the Building Commissioning Association ((it’s a plus).
