Production Operative

We have an initially temporary Production Operative role available at Catnic, a Tata Steel Enterprise in Caerphilly. This role is ideal for someone with manual handling skills and is adaptable, a good communicator and Health and Safety conscious. Role : Production Operative Location : Pontypandy Industrial Estate, Caerphilly CF83 3GL Rate : £11.44ph basic. 25% shift allowance £14.58ph. Overtime also available at 1.5 (£17.49ph) and 2.0 (£23.32ph) Contract length: 12 months initially Shift: Afternoon Shifts, Shift timings will be confirmed during the interview process Responsibilities: Ensuring material is dispatched as per client request Loading and receiving goods on an inbound and outbound basis Adhering to Health and Safety at all times and encouraging others on site to do the same General housekeeping including but not limited to stock takes, quality checks, reporting damages Operating machinery as part of the role (training provided) Essential requirements: Previous experience within a Warehouse or Production environment Ability to work as a team player Strong verbal and written communication skills Computer literate Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation Able to conduct manual handling duties including bending, lifting bulky items and being on foot for long periods Desirable requirements: Driving licence and use of a car Knowledge of the Steel industry Benefits: Advice and editing on your current CV Dedicated team throughout your journey within the role Paid holiday Exclusive online services including restaurant and retail discounts Chance to receive £300* for referring a friend Opportunity for progression into permanent roles Competitive rates of pay All applicants are subject to vetting checks including but not limited to: Right to work check, Medical check and reference check.
