We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and proactive Production Manager to join our team at The Lost Estate.


We are looking for an individual with a proven track record in immersive, theatrical and/or live event production management, working on complex and large-scale productions in both site-specific and traditional performance environments. You will be passionate about the arts and hospitality and believe in our mission of bringing TLE’s immersive experiences to the widest audience possible. The PM will play a crucial role in the successful execution of TLE’s productions, helping to ensure that the planning, management and delivery of all live and future TLE productions run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work closely alongside TLE’s Head of Productions, principally supporting the overall department function, particularly its operational day-to-day needs but also on specific projects such as project managing the building fit up of our new Peckham site. The PM will also set up and act as the Head of Production when they are away or busy, and you will relish the opportunity of the additional responsibility accordingly.


You will have excellent technical theatre and/or live event production knowledge and be able to apply that knowledge creatively to solve problems effectively. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Leading in the delivery and creation of production elements at The Lost Estate
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of production, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Collaborate closely with directors, designers, technicians, and other production staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the production process.
  • Alongside the Head of Productions you will work collaboratively to oversee projects such as installs, de-rigs, show upkeep and maintenance along with ensuring health and safety is a key priority of the companies work.
  • Manage production budgets and expenses, tracking costs and ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Procure necessary materials, equipment, and services required for each production, negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers as needed.
  • Supervise the technical and logistical aspects of rehearsals, load-ins, and performances, ensuring that all technical elements are executed according to plan.
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, induction and supervision of production crew members, including stagehands, technicians, and other support staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all production activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between the production team and other departments within the organisation.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in production management within a theatrical or live entertainment environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management.
  • Knowledge of theatrical production processes, including stagecraft, lighting, sound, and set design.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools for production management and scheduling. ie: Auto CAD and Sketchup
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptable to change and possess a willingness to embrace innovative ideas and new processes.
  • Ability to work on Auto-CAD and Sketch-up
  • Experience of managing general maintenance issues within a performance space or venue.
  • Background working in a non-traditional theatre environment



  • Full-Time Position commencing ASAP
  • Salary: £38-45k depending on experience
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
