The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic English Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A-Level English for the right candidate. You will play a crucial role in developing students’ literacy skills, fostering a love for literature, and helping them achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to the needs of all students. Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student engagement. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in teaching and learning. Contribute to the wider school community, including participation in extra-curricular activities and school events. Support the pastoral care of students, promoting their well-being and personal development. Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related field. Experience teaching English at secondary level, preferably within a UK school setting. A strong commitment to raising student achievement and promoting a love of English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. A reflective and proactive approach to professional development.
