From delving into patient histories to conducting thorough physical and mental health examinations, crafting treatment plans to providing invaluable psycho-education, and even delving into the intricate world of medication management, tribunal proceedings, and crafting comprehensive CPA reports – your days will be brimming with purpose and challenge.

Required qualifications: Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent). Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK. Completion of the Foundation Year 1 (F1) and Foundation Year 2 (F2) training or equivalent. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a dedication to delivering patient-centred care.

About Us
Baldock Manor is a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire that provides specialist psychiatric services for adults. The hospital has two female PICU (Psychiatric Intensive Care) wards and two acute wards. Our PICU services provide care and support for women at crisis level with a severe mental disorder who require rapid assessment and stabilisation. Our acute wards care for older adults, usually 55 years or older, who need a short-term hospital stay, where we can stabilise their mental health. The average stay in our acute wards is less than forty days.
