Job Description Job Role: HGV Technician Location: Wigan Contract Type: Full time / Permanent role Working hours / days: Monday - Friday - 06:30 - 15:30 / 12:30 - 22:00 Annual Salary: £47,327+ overtime - Yearly earnings in the region of £55,000 - £57,000 Overtime Monday - Saturday paid at £27.64 per hour OvertimeSundays & Bank holidays paid at £36.92 per hour If you work a bank holiday (Optional), you will be given an extra days holiday in lieu Are you an experienced HGV Technician? My client is a well-established service & maintenance workshop facility that specialises in heavy commercial vehicles. At this time, they have an opening for an HGV Technician to join them to work on a Monday -Friday Early / Late shift rotation HGV Technician Job description: TheHGV Technician will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance and repair on a wide range of commercial vehicles ranging from 7.5t trucks to tractor units and everything in between. HGV Technician Daily duties: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify any works that need undertaking Complete all required works identified in the initial inspection Ensure all pre-planned maintenance is undertakenin a timely manner Undertake MOT inspections along with preparations. Present fully prepared vehicles for their MOT test if you hold a heavy vehicle driving licence, those that don't have the required licence will be given driver training after a qualifying period Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy HGV Technician Working Days / Hours / Rates: This role is available on rotating Early / Late shift 06:00 - 15:30 on the Early Shift 12:30 - 22:00 on the later shift Basic hourly rate of £18.46 per hour giving a basic annual salary of £47,327. With the basic salary, overtime and annual bonus, you can expect to earn in excess of £55,000 - £57,000 per year.
