Senior Mechanical Designer12-Month Contract | Warrington | Inside IR35Role Overview:The Senior Mechanical Designer will provide technical support and leadership to a multidisciplinary design team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs across the project lifecycle, from concept to in-service support. This role requires strong CAD skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of relevant engineering and design practices. Specialist knowledge in a specific design area is essential.Key Responsibilities:Develop and refine design solutions, resolving complex issues.Offer technical guidance and advice to the design team.Ensure adherence to technical standards and design governance.Work independently with significant technical autonomy.Requirements:HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline.Extensive experience in detailed design environments.Proficiency in CAD tools and general engineering drawing practices.Incorporated Engineer status (or working towards).Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary design team.Strong communication and cross-discipline collaboration skills.Desirable:Membership in a relevant professional institute.Experience in commercial or defence projects.
