We're one of London's most established education recruitment agencies, opening another office in North West London - Harrow on the Hill. We work with schools across Greater London and surrounding counties, recruiting teachers and support staff both in the UK and overseas for temporary and permanent jobs in schools.

Summary of Role:

Enlighten Supply Pool have a great opportunity for a bright and conscientious candidate to join a fast-growing company as a Compliance Officer. Working in a small & friendly team of professionals. We are looking for an ambitious and proactive candidate who is prepared to work hard and take on high levels of responsibility from an early stage. We have a focus on digital recruitment and expect all senior staff to work closely with software developers to ensure cutting-edge practice. The team is expanding and there are very good opportunities for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

Update database of viable candidates to assist consultants to fill current and future talent pipelines. Be involved in the candidate registration process from the outset. Assist candidates with the application process and answer their questions. Support candidate clearances and chase in a professional manner. Being consistent with candidate right to work checks. Keep up to date with Government/Home Office guidance. Understanding relevant legislation, regulations and having a sound understanding of GDPR. Understanding and updating our various policies, including; Equal opportunities and Diversity, Privacy Policy, AWR, etc. Learn about the UK education system and comparisons worldwide. Be knowledgeable in the field of data protection. Working alongside software developers to streamline compliance administration. Have a good social and geographical knowledge of target countries. Have a good knowledge of London and surrounding areas, to offer candidates info when moving to the UK. Assist the MD with some duties relating to Human Resources. Sending email reminders to candidates for their applications to be completed swiftly. Perform other related admin & recruitment tasks and reasonable duties as instructed. Learn about school and teaching and education policies such as; KCSIE (keeping children safe in education).

Person Specification:

Has 1+ years of previous experience in a similar role. The ability to communicate effectively with candidates in a friendly and professional manner. Good listening skills and tact are essential. Effective ICT skills with the ability to use the entire Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access. Have experience in managing a team in order to review, encourage and motivate individual team members. To carry out performance evaluations with team members. Ability to show initiative and good judgment, functioning well under pressure. High level of ambition to succeed with a practical 'can-do’ mentality.
