Sen Teaching Assistant

We are currently working with SEN school located in Bromley who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant who has a passion for working with children between the ages of 4 – 19. This school is currently seeking an inspirational and highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant with a positive nature and a sense of humour. Experience working with SEN students and experience with Autism within the specialist education sector is preferable for this role. The successful candidate will work as part of a team which provides children with appropriate opportunities to make outstanding progress in every aspect of their learning and development. Key Responsibilities: * Establish a safe, organised and stimulating environment that fosters curiosity, independence and celebrates pupils’ achievements. * To adhere to all school Safeguarding policies and procedure and maintain high standards of safety and observe good practice in relation to health and safety issues. * To ensure that communication with students, staff and other departments is effective and contributes to securing efficiency and high standards of care and personal development for students within a learning and residential environment. * To be aware of and implement students’ care plans and to assist the students’ in the development of their independence outcomes within the individualised programme. Qualifications and Experience: * Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection * Experience working with SEN students within a classroom * Strong classroom skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment and excellent communication skills
