Sigma Engineering Product Design Irvine, North Ayrshire Full-Time Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm Fri - 8am - 2.30pm Salary: (Based on Experience) We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

About Us: At Sigma, we specialise in the design and manufacturing of commercial and industrial ventilation systems. This requires precision engineering, custom manufacturing and the use of industrial machinery. Our workshop is a hub of innovation, where skilled hands and keen minds collaborate to produce high-quality solutions for our clients. We are looking for a talented, reliable Sheetmetal Worker to join our growing team and contribute to our exciting projects.

Role Overview: As a Sheetmetal Worker, you will work alongside a team of skilled engineers and technicians to assist in the production and development of engineering projects. You will be hands-on with machinery and tools, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: - Developing the fabrication, assembly and testing of ventilation system components - Operate workshop tools, machinery, and equipment safely and efficiently - Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to execute tasks accurately - Collaborate with engineers and other team members on project design and development - Maintain workshop organisation, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance - Follow all safety regulations and procedures, and promote a safe working environment - Support troubleshooting and problem-solving on mechanical and technical issues

Qualifications: Preferred - Previous experience in a sheet metal workshop or similar environment - Hands-on experience with relevant machinery, tools, and equipment (e.g. welding, etc.) - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications - Strong mechanical and technical aptitude - Excellent teamwork and communication skills - Problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively - Relevant certifications in machinery operation, welding, or health and safety are a plus - Physically fit to handle manual tasks and work in a demanding environment
