Certification Engineer (FTC until June 2025)Contract Detail:Duration: Start ASAP until June 2025Salary: £40k pro rataLocation: West London (Uxbridge area)Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pmHybrid Working: Office days on Monday to Wednesday, remote work on Thursday and FridayA leading global engineering company in West London is seeking a Certification Engineer for a fixed-term contract until the end of June 2025, with potential for extension.Role Overview: As a Certification Engineer, you will ensure that our products meet regulatory and safety standards across various countries. Your responsibilities will include liaising with laboratories for regulatory submissions, communicating with suppliers and staff at all levels, and educating personnel and customers on compliance regulations.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain product certifications and approvalsDevelop and manage regulatory submissions with certification bodiesReview and update product compliance filesInitiate and sustain compliance improvementsUnderstand and review new product standards, guidelines, directives, and regulationsLiaise with Engineering and Production departments for product complianceSupport affiliates in obtaining EU or UK certificationLead compliance and certification auditsAssist customers with certification projectsAdhere to all organisational work instructions and health, safety, and environmental regulationsKey Requirements:Engineering background (any sector)Comfortable conducting external product audits with suppliersKnowledge of quality and compliance on productsDesirable: knowledge of product testing and water systemsExperience in compliance and conformity within an industrial or laboratory environmentFamiliarity with product certification and legislation (CE, REACH, ROSH, SCIP)Manufacturing experience, ideally in injection moulding, machining, and assemblyAbility to understand engineering drawings and product specificationsDegree in Quality, Product Design, Materials, or equivalent experienceProficiency in Microsoft OfficeIdeally experienced with SAPThis role offers a dynamic work environment with a mix of office and remote work, making it an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.
