Manufacturing Engineer – Lean– Continuous Improvement
Bristol based (hybrid working)
£40,000 – £45,500 plus bonus and benefits
Several Manufacturing Engineers are wanted on a permanent basis by a global Engineering client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry and going through a real period of growth. In this role, the successful candidate will design, prove, implement and maintain the cell manufacturing system layout.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £40,000 - £45,500 dependent upon experience and qualifications plus bonuses and benefits.
Overview of the Manufacturing Engineer role:
- Design, prove, implement and maintain the Cell manufacturing system to deliver existing, customised and new products safely, on time to standard and within budget according the required yield and efficiency level.
- Implement, own and continuously improve the manufacturing cell's LEAN manufacturing processes according to business guidelines
- Have ownership and accountability to resolve or support any non-conformity, internal or external, impacting the manufacturing process of the allocated cell
Key skills required for the Manufacturing Engineer role:
- Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical) or commensurate experience.
- Strong background in using Continuous Improvement techniques and implementing LEAN methodologies.
- Experience of utilising problem solving and root cause analysis tools in a manufacturing environment, ideally within an assembly environment.
