Sheltered Housing / Independent Living Officer (P01814)Job IntroductionMain ResponsibilitiesThe Ideal CandidatePackage DescriptionSheltered Housing / Independent Living Officer (RP0064)Full time and part time roles availableFixed Term to 30.06.2025Starting salary £26,237pa with potential progression to £28,076pa on achieving designated skills and experienceIn Welwyn Hatfield we have a number of sheltered housing schemes enabling our residents to be independent in their own homes. We are looking for Officers to join our team to manage these schemes and provide our residents with the help and support they individually need.If you are passionate about enabling older people to stay independent, resident focused and have good problem-solving skills then we want to hear from you.Working on one of our sheltered housing schemes, your duties will include visiting tenants, accessing help, producing support plans to enabling them to achieve their goals. You will also liaise with support services, facilitate social activities and ensure that access to services is exactly as it should be.This is a varied and customer facing role, so you will need a ‘can do’ attitude and be confident to work independently. We’d love to hear from you if you have:A sensitive, supportive and caring approach to the needs of elderly and or vulnerable people.Experience of carrying out assessments and identifying and managing needs/risks.The ability to work on your own initiative and make decisionsGood interpersonal and communication skills About you:You will put residents at the heart of everything you do.You will care about what you do and the impact you have.You will treat everyone with fairness, dignity, kindness, and respect.You are able to converse at ease with members of the public and provide adviceYou will need a full driving licence and access to a car.
