Job Title: TACT Connect Engagement Practitioner

Salary: £19,693 Per Annum + £450 Per Annum Home Working Allowance + £2,400 LW (if eligible)

Hours & Contract: Permanent Contract - 21 Hours per week (Tuesday to Thursday)

Location: Homebased anywhere in UK (with travel required)

TheCommunity Engagement Practitionerwill be an essential contact and facilitator for existing scheme members. The post holder will provide consistency and enthusiasm across all activities while ensuring all practices are underpinned by co-creation, delivery and future development of the scheme by the members of Connect. This is an exciting opportunity to be alongside our members and to provide day-to-day practical support, signposting, and safe spaces for membershipinteraction. By joining our team at this time,you will be an integral part of our team, in that you will be part of co-creating a Community for Life.

Whilst being homebased, the Community Engagement Practitioner will be required to work flexibly including regular evening working and occasional weekends as well as travelling for team meetings, member events, training and other in person events.

The main role requirements for this role include:

  • A degree in social work or similar equivalent qualification / experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience of working with children and young people and adults from the age of 15 years upwards.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining community spaces.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with, providing support for and serving as a positive role model to care experienced people.
  • Experience of using digital technologies to engage and communicate with members / stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and knowledge of fostering and care experience.
  • Excellent communications and facilitation skills, with a variety of audiences, through various medium and in person
  • Willingness to work flexibly according to the needs of the scheme members and activities
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight, for events around the UK
