Business Rates Officer Enfield £22 per hour(umbrella) Full Time Contract (3 Months) Novax Recruitment is actively seeking a Business Rates Officer in Enfield. This is a contract with a scope for extension working full time hours. The job: Responsible for delivering a professional, customer focused and high quality service whilst maximising revenue and reducing arrears through the administration and recovery of Council Tax and/or Business Rates Dealing directly with businesses or individuals, answering end to end (billing to recovery) queries, including but not limited to complex collection service matters, through data entry, customer contact Dealing with all customer correspondence, income maximisation work through all stages of the billing and recovery cycle including post Liability Order recovery To be decisive and confident in decision making, offering technical advice and guidance both written and verbalThe candidate: Experience of working in a financial or collection environment is essential Experience working with business rates is essential Experience working in a similar position in the public sector is desirable Civica Open Revenues knowledge is highly desirablePlease submit your application via the contact details provided and you will be contacted with further information about this opportunity or email your CV to me directly; or call me on; (phone number removed)
