Cranleigh STEM is working with a growing design consultancy who are currently experiencing significant growth within its mechanical engineering team, driven by an influx of long-term projects across multiple sectors. We are looking for highly skilled, Mechanical Engineers with extensive product development experience to join its dynamic technical team. Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate with skilled professionals on diverse and challenging projects, including consumer products, innovative transport solutions, and medical devices. * Work within multi-functional project teams, integrating the visual and functional aspects of products alongside designers, electronics engineers, software developers, and other specialists. * Take responsibility for your technical work while receiving guidance and support from senior engineers. * Lead specific work packages and provide guidance and support to junior members of the engineering team. * Contribute to the development of world-class design solutions that have a real impact on people's lives. Requirements: * A creative problem-solver with the ability to generate innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. * Quick learner who can adapt to new information and skills in a dynamic consultancy environment. * Capable of taking ownership of technical tasks, with senior engineers available for advice and formal checking. * Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues. * A 1st or Upper 2nd degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable institution. * Experience in a product design or development environment, with expertise in design tools (SolidWorks), computational techniques, and a wide range of manufacturing processes and materials. * Knowledge and experience in low-volume rapid prototyping technologies and high-volume manufacturing processes such as injection moulding. * Eligible to work in the UK.
