Established Manufacturing family owned organisation supplying niche product market, requires an experienced Production Manager to oversee entire production process. As Production Manager, you will ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for managing a team, coordinating with other departments and driving continuous improvement in production operations.
The role of Production Manager is offered as a permanent role with competitive salary and opportunity to be an integral member of this organisation of good reputation and long standing. Previous experience within a similar role and a knowledge of Power Press Setting and Operating is essential. Fork Lift skills, previous experience with Sage and knowledge of Export/Import processes would be beneficial. Immediate start available to ensure thorough handover.
Production Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee production activities to meet production targets
- Manage and lead production team, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards
- Monitor production processes and implement solutions to improve efficiency
- Manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across the production floor
- Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products
Production Manager Qualifications and Experience required:
- Experience as a Manager in the Engineering / Manufacturing sector - Essential
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Power Press experience as an operator/setter (preferably coil fed)
- Experience of chemical processes - Beneficial
- Experience operating other machinery including guillotine, fly presses, bench drill etc.
- Forklift experience - Advantageous
- Understanding of production management processes, safety standards, and quality control principles
- Must be computer literate, with experience in Excel
- Knowledge of Sage - Advantageous
- Experience of export and import processes and documentation - Beneficial
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours: Mon to Thurs 7.30am - 4pm, Fri 7.30am - 1pm
Salary: 30,000 p.a. to 40,000 p.a. dependent upon experience, inclusive of quarterly Bonus
