Assistant Company Secretary



Role: Permanent, Full-time

Location: London

The Role:


A fantastic newly created role for a successful Risk Manager and market leader. In this role, you will support the full board and committee cycles, management and end-of-year reporting.


This is a dynamic role and would suit an Assistant Company Secretary with a wide skill set and background in regulated environments.


The opportunity boosts new offices in the heart of the city as well as the opportunity to be part of new business initiatives in a thriving organisation.


Responsibilities:


  • Providing company secretarial services to several entities within the business including drafting of agendas, minutes and actions, planning of meetings as required, researching and drafting of papers; and managing paper collation and distribution.
  • Supporting the function with full board and committee cycles and management meetings.
  • Assisting with corporate planning and building the company's long-term strategy.
  • Supporting regulatory requirements and governance projects on occasion.
  • Managing, and ensuring compliance with, best practice governance procedures.
  • Provide corporate governance support and advice to the Company’s management, directors, and other stakeholders.


Key Skills and Experience Required:


  • Degree or similar qualification.
  • Hold, or currently studying for, ICSA qualification would be advantageous.
  • At least 4 years of relevant company secretarial experience.
  • Solid experience within the financial services and heavily regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and supporting multiple entities with corporate governance administration and advice.
  • In-depth company secretarial technical knowledge and experience.
  • Strong organisational and minute-taking skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate a board of directors and committees.
