IT Engineer (Bilingual)

We are looking for a bilingual IT Engineer to support efficient operation of our company's IT infrastructure. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer service excellence. You will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and networks, ensuring that our technology runs smoothly and efficiently to support business operations. Proficiency in both English and Chinese Mandarin is essential for this role. Please also note this is a contracting role which is expected to last 2 years. You would need to have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship. We won't be able to provide visa sponsorship on this occasion.Key Responsibilities1. Work with the IT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to provide IT support, and provide back-up for each other;2. Ensure that user support requests are logged and receive prompt attention, and all IT issues resolved and documented in a timely manner;3. Maintain IT Server, networks, software and office systems. Monitor IT systems, and carry out capacity management. Maintain data storage and Backup solutions;4. Support R&D engineers to implement and manage different R&D software;5. Install, support and maintain all network connected devices. Provide support to Hyper-V server virtualisation, SCCM, etc.;6. Ensure the security of all IT systems and equipment;7. Communicate and coordinate with headquarters IT department on IT projects implementation when needed;8. IT assets management, IT policies improvement;9. Other IT relevant tasks assigned by line manager and or senior management;Skills & Qualifications:1. At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role;2. Bilingual in English and Mandarin;3. Knowledge of IT core infrastructure, Windows Servers & Exchange, SCCM, LAN, WAN and internet technologies;4. Bachelor degree or above in computer science and/or a related IT subject;5. Other relevant IT Certificates are a plus, such as CCNA, VCP, MCSE, MCSA;Personal Skills/Competencies1. Ability to prioritise and work to changing deadlines;2. Experience of working in partnership with the business to scope requirements and develop fit for purpose technical solutions;3.
