Working alongside local authorities, they aim to create communities where people want to live, work, and play.Your new roleAs an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in leading the project management team in overseeing the highway project efficiently and cost-effectively. This is a contract role paying a day rate of £300 - £350.The ideal candidate willMonitor project costs, providing regular reports and identifying cost-saving opportunities and evaluating risk.Lead the procurement process, evaluating and recommending subcontractors, and managing supplier contracts.Evaluate and recommend subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers and manage supplier contracts and relationships.Work closely with project managers, highway engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.Proficient in conducting quantity take-offs, preparing bills of quantities, and monitoring variations to the contract.About youThe Quantity Surveyor will lead and demonstrate relationship building skills, diplomacy and your willingness to complete the project to a high standard and within the timeframe.You will be able to tick the following belowBachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.Previous experience leading a team throughout a project from start to finish.Strong skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with the ability to administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle.Strong analytical and numerical abilities.Previous experience in subcontract management.Get in touch with the Pave team to find out more!
