Deputy Children’s Home Manager Houghton Regis, Beds Up to £33,185 - £34,401 plus on call £1,800 Are you or an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker/Team Leader looking for the next step in your career or a Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge? I am looking for a Deputy Manager for a home for children and young people in the fabulous town of Houghton Regis. The home offers a nurturing environment for young people within social, emotional and behavioural needs, specifically mental health, to help them thrive. In this role you will: * Assist in managing all aspects of the day-to-day running of a children’s residential home * Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence * Promote the safeguarding of the young people’s welfare * Promote education and diversity to ensure individual needs are meet * Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and company requirements * Participate in the on-call roster For this rewarding role you must have: * A minimum 2 years' experience working with Children and Young People in a Residential setting * Recent experience working either as a Children's Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker/Team Leader in a Children's Home * Minimum Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (in line with Ofsted requirements) * Enthusiasm and commitment to completing QCF Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager qualification * The flexibility to cover shifts in line with the needs of the home, they do aim to for the Deputy to work Monday to Friday 9-5, but flexibility is required * A full UK Driving Licence For more information on this fantastic role, please call Elite Care on (phone number removed)
