CNC Recruitment are seeking multiple Production Operatives to join our client team in Chard area - a global food production manufacturer. The role involves working on production lines, operating machinery, ensuring the highest standards of quality, and adhering to safety and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment used for cheese making, cutting, and packaging.
- Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients for cheese production according to specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring safe working practices at all times. Report any hazards or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of production processes, including any issues encountered during production.
- Work effectively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to focus on maintaining product quality and consistency.
- Ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting, standing for extended periods, and handling production equipment.
- Capable of working effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence in using production equipment and technology.
- Ability to troubleshoot minor technical issues and identify potential areas of improvement in the production process.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally in food production.
- Previous experience working in a dairy or cheese production facility.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP).
- Forklift certification (if applicable).
Overtime available.
Please note -this is temporary contract until Christmas with the possibility to be extended for the right candidate.
