Site Technician / Operative - Waste management

Site-Based Site Technician / Operative required for a leading waste management company. Are you ready for an immersive, hands-on role in operations ? Role Overview: Salary – up to £25 -27k Location: Reigate, Redhill and surrounding areas Schedule: 5 days a week on-site. Previous Job Titles (not an exhaustive list): Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Fitter, Service Engineer, Site Engineer Previous Industries: Heavy Industry, Quarry, Construction, Recycling, Industrial Services, Demolition, Aggregates, Mining, Landfill, Manufacturing, MRF, Waste Management, or any sector involving large static or mobile plant equipment. Key Responsibilities: * Operational involvement, hands-on work, and close collaboration within the site team. * Supervising on-site operations and subcontractors. * Monitoring, sampling soils, and overseeing remediation technologies. * Ensuring site compliance with H&S and Environmental legislation. Additional Duties: * Contributing to site productivity enhancements. * Conducting sample analyses and movement requests. * Handling movement paperwork and documentation. Qualifications and Skills: * 1 years experience in waste or recycling * A relevant qualification in Engineering or equivalent e.g. HND, degree, diploma etc. * Practical experience in site-based engineering roles. * Strong knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation. * Ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively. * Excellent communication and organizational skills
