We are an established Electrical Contractors providing design and installation of electrical projects to the commercial, industrial, domestic and public sectors. We also have a specialist division, EV Charging Company, which provides EV charger installation to commercial and residential customers. About the role
Reporting to the Director the Electrician is a vital role within the business. Work includes general electrical work, BMS, HVAC, EICR. Main responsibilities include installation and maintenance, inspection and testing, fault finding and repair.
Responsibilities
- Inspection, testing and containment work
- Carry out installations and maintenance customer specifications and contractual requirements
- Carry out Electrical Condition Reporting
- Problem solving, problem detection and repairing system faults, using a logical approach
- Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations
- Completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job
- Ensure Quality and Health and Safety standards are maintained to required levels
- Performing other projects and ad-hoc duties as may be required and requested by the Director
Experience and knowledge
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years professional experience in an electrical role
- Previous demonstrable experience of general electrical work, BMS, HVAC, EICR
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and documentation
Desirable
- Experience of working in the construction industry
- Previous experience of EV charger installation and maintenance
Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical installation/Electrotechnical technology
- 18th Edition
- ECS / CSCS Card
- Clean current driving license
Desirable
- City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing

- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to strict deadlines

Location: Stockport and field-based
Requirements: Ability to work out of hours when required including early morning, evening and weekend. Ability to travel daily, primarily around the North West but also within the UK
