Job title: Health Physics Monitor Job Type: Permanent Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance Duration: Permanent Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £40,000-£45,000 Depending on experience Location: Cumbria/UK Wide Hours of work: 37 hours Mon-Friday Applicants must have experience of the following: - Ability to gain SC clearance - Minimum of 3 years experience as a health physics monitor - City and Guilds level 1 Radiation Protection or NVQ level 2 in Radiation Protection Ideally applicants should also have: - IOSH working safely certificate Role information: - Carry out radiological protection monitoring - Measure radiation doses and contamination levels - Provide protection advice to facility operators - Produce survey sheets, reports and data presentations - Identify trends to detect areas for improvement - Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements - Report any areas of concern to the relevant parties - Provide emergency responses for health physics related matters All candidates must be eligible and able to obtain SC Clearance, ideally candidates will already hold this Interested in this position? please click "apply now" We try to respond to all applicants, but sometimes this is not possible due to high volumes of applications; if you have not heard from us within 14 days, regrettably it means you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.
