Our client a household tech/fintech brand based out of Cardiff are looking to bring in a Lead Software Engineer to work on an exciting project roadmap. This brands technology offering serves millions of users a month and is genuinely designed to improve peoples lives. This role is a split between technical and people leadership with a fairly even split of both hands on with technology and people management. Responsibilities: Leading and mentoring the team Own technical roadmap and set Technical direction Ensure delivery of great software Team motivation and performance Adhering to best practice and standards Instilling values within the team Improvement of tech debt Work closely with the Product and DevOps function Foster relationships with other teams and key stakeholders Drive Agile practices Tech Stack: Experience with Cloud technologies (they use Azure) Experience with CI/CD Worked in a high performing software team with applications that have had a lot of users Tech Agnostic- they will consider anyone from any background (their products have predominantly built within the Microsoft Ecosystem) Experience working in Agile environment Has driven software products with the customer experience in mind Worked in a modern software development environment, startups or tech first brands would be highly desirable Interview process; 1st stage screening call 2nd round, pairing- 1 hour 3rd & 4th- Leadership competency- 1 hour each, might be able to be condensed into one stage 5th- final call with CTO Benefits: Salary- up to £90k Hybrid- 2 days per week in Cardiff Performance based bonus- 10% Pension- 7.5% matched 27 days holiday rising to £2 with service EV scheme Health Insurance Health and Wellbeing Regular social and tech events And loads more If you want the opportunity to work with a brand that are a leading supplier of tech into their industry and great opportunity for growth in a role as a Lead then please click apply now!
