The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across a range of social science subjects, including Sociology, Psychology, and Citizenship, to students at Key Stage 3-4. You will inspire and challenge students while ensuring that they achieve their full potential. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Social Sciences subjects, including Sociology, Psychology, and Citizenship. Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that supports student engagement and academic achievement. Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement schemes of work that reflect current curriculum requirements. Participate in department meetings, school events, and continuous professional development (CPD). Support students' personal and academic development through mentoring and pastoral care. Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and independent learning in line with the school's ethos. Ensure lessons are inclusive, differentiated, and accessible for students with diverse learning needs.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A degree in Social Sciences or a related field. Experience teaching Social Sciences subjects at KS3, KS4 (desirable). Strong classroom management and communication skills. A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
