Property & Casualty Underwriter

Key Responsibilities:Responsible for trading, underwriting, and service activities, with the objective of providing consistent, high-quality service to customers, delivering satisfactory and profitable results for the company, and developing strong business relationships with the broker panel.Develop and maintain good business relationships with both new and existing brokers.Underwrite commercial combined/SME risks within the Broker Business team, including quoting new business and underwriting existing business (MTAs and renewals).Manage and serve a panel of assigned brokers’ accounts.Negotiate pricing and terms with brokers in line with Underwriting Authority.Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to brokers.Visit brokers as required to develop business, maintain the existing book, and cross-sell the company’s products.Produce monthly reports for renewals and provide accurate analysis.Identify poorly performing accounts and take remedial actions as needed.Liaise with the Claims team to prepare relevant claim reports.Work with the Finance team on daily broker/client inquiries and assist the Finance team with premium receivables as part of key tasks.Collaborate with the IT team for system enhancements and testing of new and existing products.
