French Speaking Associate, Corporate Governance, Capital Markets & ESG

Overview: We’re looking for a French speaking Associate or Senior Associate, to join our team in D.F. King, a part of MUFG Corporate Markets, a division of MUFG Pension & Market Services.  The role is based on a hybrid basis from either our central London office or our city centre office in Leeds. As a Senior Associate, you will support and assist the team with managing Proxy Solicitation, M&A and Corporate Governance projects, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of projects, campaigns and client relations along with the Director of the UK and the team as a whole.  We will provide training, so if you don’t have all the experience now, maybe you’ve just left university for example, have an interest in Proxy Solicitation, ESG and Corporate Governance Advisory Services and exceptional French and English language skills, you could join as an Associate. King’s mandate •    Assist the team and UK Director with the execution and delivery of D.F. King’s Proxy Solicitation and Corporate Governance Advisory Services •    Prepare client reporting and assist with client relations •    Obtain intelligence on investor stewardship behaviour through research and direct engagement •    Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions (investment houses, pension funds, custodian banks etc.), clients, institutional investors and other parties •    Research and share intelligence on major corporate governance subjects, topics and themes •    Draft, or assist with drafting, Corporate Governance studies on a particular company’s proposed resolutions or with the organisation and participation in corporate governance roadshows for D.F. King clients •    Increase your own knowledge of Proxy Solicitation, ESG, M&A tendering / voting mechanism market regulations, and investor stewardship policies and practice, in order to progress and gain autonomy
