I’m currently partnering with a well-established healthcare company that’s on the lookout for a Lead Software Engineer to join their expanding team in Central Manchester. With over a decade in the industry, the company collaborates with some of the largest private healthcare organizations across the UK and internationally.
The company specializes in developing healthcare management tools designed to improve efficiency, productivity, and internal processes across core business areas. Their product suite has seen significant growth over the last five years, fuelling further investment to expand the team.
They are searching for a Lead Software Engineer who will work closely with the development team, offering technical direction and support. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will oversee a team of 6-7 developers, take part in code reviews, and serve as a key technical mentor.
Office Requirement:
This role requires you to be in their Central Manchester office twice a week.
Technical Requirements:
- At least 4 years of software development experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team of 3+ developers.
- Aspirations to lead larger teams in the future.
- Comfortable with a 70/30 split between leadership and hands-on coding.
- Key Skills: C#, .NET Core, Web APIs, Microservices, SQL, Azure.
- Desirable Skills: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Docker, Node.js.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- A natural leader with a passion for coaching and improving team standards.
- Willing to support and contribute to the technical vision of the team.
Salary & Benefits:
- £85,000-£95,000
- UK-based applicants only (sponsorship not available)
