The organisation make a really positive contribution to the UK and this role offers the opportunity to make a real difference within the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise across software development, cloud infrastructure, and test automation activity spanning transformation programmes, continual improvement and run operations, aligning with industry best practice.Plan, lead and manage engineering activity, coaching where required and guide initiatives through appropriate governance processes. Required to provide extensive knowledge of security, standards, programming, testing, proto-typing, service support, systems design, systems integration, and a user focus.Design and maintain processes that relate to software engineering and cloud services that adopt automation, continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous deployment.Design, build, test and maintain cloud-based services, working collaboratively with Software Engineering, Platform Engineering and QA Engineering, along with partners to deploy and operate the organisation's cloud-based services.Scrutinise and lead project deliveries and make recommendations and design changes to ensure solutions meet the organisation's requirements for functionality, and non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, interoperability, security, monitoring, performance, and control.Lead and contribute on engineering standards and methodologies and to ensure systems and changes are well-designed and led through appropriate internal and external governance channels for agreement and approvals.Mentor and guide Engineering team members to ensure they follow agreed specifications of design, code and test frameworks as well as ensuring the appropriate standards and tools are used.Required Skills/ExperienceProven experience in a Senior / Principle Developer roleStrong experience in Azure Cloud: Comprehensive understanding of services and features available across SaaS, PaaS and IaaS services and experience of implementation of best practice and run operations of each.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Skills & experience defining and managing infrastructure programmatically utilising tools such as TerraformContinuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CDExperience of Landing ZonesIf this role would be of interest, then please apply to this advert and I will be in contact to give you more detail.Fruition are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation or age.
