We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support and small group interventions for students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), such as autism, ADHD, and specific learning difficulties. Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all students are engaged and able to access the curriculum. Support students with emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties, using positive reinforcement techniques and promoting independence. Help students develop key life skills, including communication, social interaction, and self-regulation. Work closely with teachers and other support staff to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed. Maintain clear and accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to the SENCO, teachers, and parents.The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience working with children with special educational needs, either in a classroom setting or in a support capacity. A strong understanding of various SEN conditions and strategies for supporting individual needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. A commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting every child's learning journey. A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or SEN support (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential. Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply. Avaliable Full time
